Hi, I’m Kyle Brown — a wedding photographer based in Red River, New Mexico, serving Angel Fire, Taos, and the entire Enchanted Circle. Southern Exposure Photography was started by my dad over 40 years ago, and I’ve spent my life photographing the mountains and people that make Northern New Mexico so special.
I grew up here, and that local experience matters on a wedding day. I know how quickly mountain weather changes, where the best light hits at sunset, and the hidden portrait locations that make Red River, Angel Fire, and Taos weddings feel unforgettable.
My style blends genuine storytelling with natural, guided portraits. I focus on capturing real emotion while helping couples feel relaxed, confident, and fully present throughout the day. Kyle took photos of our wedding and we were very happy with the photos and the whole process. I wasn't even sure I needed a professional photographer since we were looking for a few photos of the ceremony, group photos of family and friends afterwards, and a video of the ceremony. We couldn't have asked for a better photographer than Kyle! He went above and beyond for us on our wedding day. We got married in mid-October in Red River and got hit by a random snowstorm. The whole town lost power for hours, so we couldn't curl our hair or use any electronics. But Kyle saved the day with power banks that he let us use while getting ready—total lifesaver!
Kyle's thoughtfulness didn't stop there. Even though the weather was awful, he offered to come back a couple of days after the wedding to shoot our portraits. We're forever grateful because the photos he took turned out amazing.
I usually feel super awkward in front of the camera, but Kyle made the whole experience so much fun. He was energetic, got us laughing from start to finish, and made everything easy. We can't thank you enough, Kyle, for everything you did for us!

What kind of printed products do you offer?

That's why we maintain comprehensive insurance coverage, encompassing general liability and various photography-specific needs. As dedicated members of the Professional Photographers of America, we stay up to date with industry best practices and standards. While insurance may not appear as a separate line item on your invoice, please know that it is a crucial consideration for us, ensuring the smooth operation of our services and providing peace of mind for everyone involved.
Do you have insurance?
All of our wedding packages include the full resolution digital JPEG files that can be printed to whatever size you can possibly image. The files include a full copyright release for personal use. Along with the digital files, we always include some sort of prints whether it be 4x6 classic prints or a large gallery display. Every one of our packages can be customized to fit your personal needs, if you need more quality printed products or more photographic time allowed just ask and we can see what we can do to make your wedding unique.

Yes! We offer beautifully crafted highlight films that capture the emotion, energy, and key moments of your wedding day in a short, cinematic format. These films are perfect for sharing with friends and family and look amazing on social media.
If you’re looking for full-length, documentary-style video coverage, just let us know—we work with several talented videographers we’re happy to recommend so you can have your entire day captured from start to finish.
Do You Offer Video Services?
In most cases, a single photographer is usually sufficient for capturing the magic of weddings, particularly for smaller destination celebrations. However, we understand that larger weddings may require additional photographic coverage. That's why we offer the flexibility to include an extra photographer in your custom package if desired. We always take into consideration the practicality and space constraints of getting ready rooms and suites, which are often cozy in size. By keeping our team compact, we ensure that no precious moments are missed, while also avoiding any disruptions or obstructions that a larger media team might inadvertently create. Rest assured, our priority is to seamlessly document your special day with the utmost professionalism and without any unnecessary distractions.
