Some wedding days stay with you long after the last photo is taken, and Daniel and Evelyn’s mountain wedding at Greenie was one of those days.
I first met Daniel and Evelyn back in October, and from the start, it was clear how deeply rooted they are in family. Being introduced to their kids and extended family early on told me everything I needed to know. These two care deeply for one another, and the way they love and support their family shows up in every interaction. That foundation set the tone for their entire wedding day.
When they told me they wanted their wedding photos at Greenie, I knew it wasn’t just about the views—though the views are incredible. Greenie is their place. A spot filled with memories and meaning, and one they felt strongly about sharing as part of their wedding story.

As the day unfolded, there was a moment when we weren’t sure we were going to make it to the top. Between timing, snow conditions, and the realities of photographing in the mountains of Northern New Mexico in December, it felt like it might not happen. But Daniel and Evelyn never wavered. That place mattered to them, and they found a way.

When we finally reached the top, everything came together. The light softened, the clouds shifted, and the mountain gave us one of those rare moments you can’t plan for—only experience. It turned out beautifully, and it felt like Greenie was rewarding them for choosing a place that truly reflected who they are.
Throughout the day, what stood out most was how connected everyone was. The way Daniel looks at Evelyn. The way their kids naturally gravitate toward them. The quiet moments, the laughter, and the unspoken understanding between family members made this wedding feel genuine and deeply personal. These are the moments I’m always watching for as a wedding photographer—the in-between moments that tell the real story.

This is exactly why I love photographing mountain weddings in Northern New Mexico. These aren’t just scenic backdrops; they’re places tied to real lives, real families, and memories that will be carried forward for generations. Daniel and Evelyn didn’t just choose a beautiful location—they chose meaning, intention, and family.
I’m incredibly grateful they trusted me to document their wedding day at Greenie, and I can’t wait for them to relive these moments through photographs they’ll look back on for years to come.
